In Belgium, hundreds of thousands of computers become infected every year. The cost of cybercrime is estimated at EUR 3.5 billion, which is more than 1% of the GDP.*
The purpose of this event is to understand the current situation of the “Cybersecurity”, the threats that companies have to face against nowadays, how to improve companies skills in this field and to discuss on practical cases thanks to different experts.

8.30 – Opening with Breakfast
9.00 – Cybercrime Today
Yves Vandermeer from Federal Computer Crime Unit will present the situation nowadays in Belgium.
9.30 – Cybersecurity Guide
The Belgian Cyber Security Guide will be presented by the Bc-Center which creates a practical guide with the collaboration of the ICC Belgium, the FEB and different key companies of this sector (Microsoft, ISACA,etc.) to help SME’S to avoid cybersecurity attacks. The Bc- Center will present the 10 founding principles, translated themsleves into 10 key actions.
10.15 – Cybersecurity body knowledge
Georges Ataya who is a Professor and Academic Director of the Executive Program in Cybersecurity, Managing Partner ICT Control NV SA and Vice President of the Belgian Cybersecurity Coalition will present:
- Risks and vulnerabilities that a company has to face and threats that increase every day
- Basic knowledge for all stakeholders
- Implementation practices for building cybersecurity organisation
- The methods and means to respond to attacks.
10.45 – Roundtable
The aim of this roundtable is to enable all the participants to share their idea or experiences with experts in this field and to find recommendations in order to enhance companie’s cybersecurity skills.
The moderators will challenge the participants with their own situation so that you will be better equipped against cyberattack.
