Eurostars is a program developed by 33 European countries and the European Commission within the EUREKA network. The program provides SMEs with an important activity in research and development support that is tailored to their specific needs. The program gives them the opportunity to increase their competitiveness on the European and international markets.
The projects of SMEs developing a new product, a new process or a technologically innovative service with a view to rapid commercialization. Within the program, a bottom-up approach is used, all the technological themes are welcome, but projects with a military purpose are not accepted. Thanks to the small size of the projects (on average 3 to 4 partners) and the easy procedure to other European programs, companies who have never participated in a European program, gaining a first experience in international cooperation.
The selected projects are funded by national funding agencies (Innoviris Brussels) according to the specific funding requirements.
