From December 1st-3rd, lifetech.brussels, the Mutualités Libres and the Partena Group jointly organize a hackathon dedicated to the continuum of care: beHealth Hackathon. Innovative applications and services will be created during this creative marathon!
Innovation in health needs to be more multidisciplinary and concrete, based on real challenges identified by patients and caregivers. The challenges will be published mid-October!
The hackathon is the ideal format for developing creative solutions and stimulating innovation. This event will follow the classic pattern of a hackathon. On Friday 1st December, the kick-off will be given at the end of the day with a first pitch and the formation of teams. The presentation of the results and the presentation of the prizes will take place 40 hours later, on Sunday at the end of the day.
beHealth Hackathon innovates by anchoring participating teams in the real world. Multidisciplinary teams – doctors, healthcare practitioners, nurses, software designers and developers, industrial and commercial designers – will indeed work on the real challenges identified by the organizers with the health players (industry partners and the hospital world). Industry partners may consider hiring the team, to invest in the newly created company or to become their first client.
At the end of the weekend, each team will have to have a prototype of the proposed solution, whether it is a 3D medical device or an application, as well as a business plan. A panel of health care experts will evaluate the solutions created by the investor, the patient and the regulator. An award will reward the most innovative solution, the best business case and the project that will benefit most patients. A public prize is also planned. The winners will be accompanied in their endeavors to start a business and start a commercial activity.
beHealth Hackathon is a unique event for all those who like to anticipate the future, meet inspiring creators and participate in the evolution of health care by developing solutions to a societal problem. To participate, an open spirit to innovation is enough.
This hackathon is set up with the help of Healthcare Futurists, an international think tank on healthcare innovation. Over the past two years, HealthCare Futurists has organized several innovative health events in Europe.
The organizers are pleased to welcome innoviris.brussels as Premium sponsor and Gold sponsors like Fondation Roi Baudouin, IBM, Pfizer and Proximus.
